Jerry Falwell Jr. is suing Liberty University for an additional $8.5M after receiving a $10M settlement. This is an example of a guy who is all about money. However, we shouldn’t expect Falwell to act like a Christian since he’s openly said he’s not a Christian.
Hillsong is now under investigation for money laundering by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Christians who are highly successful are open to significant temptations that is inherent in coming into contact with much wealth. Read Deuteronomy 8:10-18.

As of March 14, our national debt stands at $31.4T (primer). We’ll pay well over $500B in interest alone in 2023. By 2033, the CBO projects our interest costs will be $1.4T. Our spending and rising debt is unsustainable. While countries don’t go bankrupt, per se, their currency can devalue and they can lose sovereignty due to inability to pay their debt. Right now, I don’t see how this ends well for our country. See my post on the Debt Ceiling and Why It Matters and why our country needs to rethink how we view debt and retirement.
